More Information about the All-New 2019 Chevrolet Silverado
One hundred years after the introduction of its first trucks in January 1918, Chevrolet is introducing the next-generation of its Silverado pickup truck. The new Silverado brings new styling, more powertrain choices, greater use of advanced materials and class-leading cargo volume.
“With the all-new Silverado, we’ve taken the best truck on the road and made it even better,” said Mark Reuss, General Motors executive vice president of Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. “It has a longer wheelbase, more passenger and cargo volume, and yet, thanks to our mixed materials strategy and mass reduction expertise, the new truck is 450 pounds lighter than the current model.”
In addition to its larger, lighter and stronger bed, the 2019 Silverado features six engine/transmission combinations, including an all-new Duramax 3.0-liter inline-six turbo-diesel paired to a new Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission. Some powertrains also feature start/stop technology and Dynamic Fuel Management to help save drivers money on fuel.
The interior of the all-new Silverado features more legroom, new available storage options, and has been tested to make sure it is extremely durable. The 2019 Chevy Silverado continues to offer 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, wireless phone charging and OnStar safety and security features.
